28.5L Fiat Turns Over For The First Time In Nearly 100 Years

After 100 years of not running, you’d think that this monstrosity an engine would be good for nothing aside from scrap. The 28.5L Fiat that sports 7.1L per cylinder must not have gotten that memo because this old powerhouse screams like it’s brand new!

With the age of the engine comes a little bit of a history lesson as well. This four cylinder makes 290bhp with over 1300 lbs/ft of torque! That’s an impressive number for something that’s so old. The car also held the land speed record in 1911.

Check out this video below as the largest four cylinder ever built for a car is fired up with ease! This is the first time in 100 years that anyone has seen or heard the beast! By watching the clip, it’s almost like we’re in the drivers seat witnessing 1911 for ourselves!

We’re not quite sure what this engine on wheels is used for, but we think it’s super cool!
