$3 Oil Filter vs $663 Oil Filter vs 60,000 PSI Waterjet

When it comes to just about anything that you invest in for your car, there is usually a variety of prices attached to different products. For many of these products, consumers use their best knowledge to pick out the right one based on past experiences and those of friends. For cheaper products, there usually isn’t much research done but is it worth spending a couple of extra dollars to get the mid or high-grade product?

Well, this time, we check out a video that attempts to dive into two products that are very similar yet very different. While they might not both be used for cars, they are both used to do relatively the same task in filtering oil. The smaller filter is used in a traditional car setup and the larger is designed to be used with a large air compressor.

One of the big differences between the two is price. While the car filter clocks in at $3, the air compressor filter retails for $660 more! If they do the same thing and one costs a lot more, there has to be some sort of drastic difference inside…  or at least the person who bought the more expensive filter would hope!

Check out the video below that compares the two filters to see how they stack up against one another. While there may be other factors in play as to why the more expensive filter bears its price tag, it’s really interesting to see the insides of two filters that are somewhat similar yet bear an incredibly different price tag.
