Is the Base Model Worth it? 3-Way Battle puts Non-V8 Mustang vs Camaro vs Challenger

When you start thinking about muscle cars, naturally, you think of vehicles with big roaring V8 engines that are ready to lay down a good amount of power as you make your way through town. However, on the flip side of that coin, it turns out that, according to this video, the big and robust V8 versions of these cars aren’t even the most popular selling of the group. Instead, people turn to the base model versions of some of the most popular muscle cars in the country which means if they’re coming with either a V6 or potentially even a four-cylinder if you elect to go with the Ford Mustang!

This time, we check out a video that takes the liberty of comparing these cars, the more common versions of the muscle cars that we all aspire to be behind the wheel of. As it turns out, back in the day, a six-cylinder or less might mean that you probably wouldn’t be making that much power, however, with the way that these things are engineered these days, you can actually expect a pretty good punch from some of these cars that offer up more than 300 hp. It might not seem like a ton but when you compare it to the cars from even a decade or so ago, it seems like a lot, especially when you consider the fuel economy that you’re getting out of them as well.

If you follow along down the video below as featured by the Kunes Country TV YouTube channel, you’ll be able to see exactly how these machines, in the Dodge Challenger, Chevrolet Camaro, and Ford Mustang, end up stacking up against one another. At the end of the day, I’m sure that most most would probably rather get their hands on the V8 powered versions of these muscle cars, but if this is your bracket for purchasing a vehicle, you actually have some pretty good stuff to work with.
