When it comes time to get your car on the road here in the United States, you might not realize it because from your perspective, all you have to do is go to the dealership or the previous owner and purchase the car before running it through the DMV or whatever other transfer location is used in your state.

However, if you were to take a look at a car from overseas that have not yet gone through all of the safety measures that make up the law here in America, you would realize just how difficult it would be to get your grubby mitts on a machine that hasn’t proven itself worthy of the public roadways here in States.

You see, due to certain safety requirements, so many versions of the vehicle have to be destroyed in crash testing to prove that the model can stand up to the test that cars must go through in order to be safe enough to chauffer consumers here in America around the streets as new vehicles that are tagged for road use. Now, while initially, this might be pretty frustrating for people who are looking to import these machines, after a while, you find that there’s a certain mystique about these cars that you simply can’t drive here. Sure, they might not be the most expensive in the world but the fact that you can’t legally tag them here in the United States make them all that much more desirable. It’s human nature to want what you can’t have sometimes.
