Breaking News: Elon Musk Given the Verbal “OK” to Build Multi-State Underground Hyperloop

If you’re currently alive in the year 2017, there’s a good chance that you know who Elon Musk is. As he has built his way into multiple technological realms, being a pioneer of this age, Musk has really risen to become a household name with his Tesla brand, SpaceX program, and the Hyperloop amongst other projects. It really just seems like he’s building things that are going to become the way of the future. We could eventually be living in a world of Elon. The latest and greatest from the visionary that broke just a couple of hours ago just before noon on the east coast, via Twitter, says that he has been given a verbal okay from the government to start to build a multistate underground Hyperloop. Why is this big news?

If you’re not really sure exactly why this is big news, with the sheer fact that this kind of a transportation system will allow people to travel from Washington DC to New York City in just 29 minutes should be enough to make you jump for joy. Currently, a train ride along this route would probably take nearly three hours and a flight, about 55 minutes. That’s right, we’re talking about ground transportation that nearly slices the time that it would take to fly in half! If that’s not revolutionary then I don’t know what is. Let’s just say that the airline companies had better keep their eyes peeled on this technology because it might not be long before they’re struggling for business in this already competitive space.

Check out the video down below that shows us exactly what Hyperloop has accomplished up to this point in time and how they’re testing out different features to make it even better. Musk says that there are still details to iron out, but just the sheer prospect of this being a possible reality is enough to get excited over. Be sure to tell us what you think of transportation like this changing the way that we get around.
