Driver Rams Cop Car Multiple Times in Audi RS6 Wagon… Full Police Chase!

Well… this is certainly one approach a suspect can take when fleeing the cops to try to better his chances of escape. Instead of just running and hope to outrun and evade the pursuing officers, you can just ram your car into theirs until the radiator is damaged to the point the car overheats and they have to call off the chase.

That might actually work if there’s only one cop and he hasn’t radioed for other units. It would also help if ramming the cruiser wouldn’t leave your car with obvious damage that will be easily identifiable once the word gets out about what you’ve done. However, most of the time, suspects in situations like this really aren’t thinking too clearly, so it probably never crossed his mind that there are already likely dozens of units on the lookout in addition to the others already in on the chase, and the officer driving the car that eventually does become disabled has already requested more units and air support to make sure the suspect doesn’t get away.

The fleeing driver decided to use the rear of his Audi RS6 wagon as a battering ram, backing into the pursing cruiser a bone-jarring crunch. A few seconds later, he did it again, and you can see a little bit of steam wafting around the car from the dashcam, telling the tale of the Audi bumper vs the cruiser radiator. The officers continue to pursue the wagon as long as their injured ride will allow, but they don’t get very far before it quits on them.

They tag the other officers in to take over the chase and pull to the curb to pay their last respects as the cruiser is likely done for. While it’s down for repairs, the driver can watch this video and see what he could have done differently, though the only answer to that just might be not showing up to work.
