The British Royal Air Force’s Typhoon is a pretty badass piece of aviation machinery. The twin-engine multipurpose aircraft boasts forty thousand pounds of thrust at the pilot’s command and a pretty unique look to boot. Its monster Eurojet EJ200 engines literally scream as it flies overhead on approach to the runway in this video.

Seeing this jet close up certainly gives you a look at its design, a canard-delta shape that is instantly recognizable from below. The pilot expertly lands the craft with finesse that shows just how talented and well-trained the RAF pilots are. Hearing all that power shrieking through the sky definitely gives you chills as you think about this jet powering through the air faster than the speed of sound when necessary!

The Typhoon was built to excel in dogfighting situations, however it’s been adapted for recon use and air-to-surface bombing strike capabilities to extend its use beyond the end of the Cold War. Highly maneuverable and capable of insane top speeds, this is truly a wicked aircraft!
