Ferrari powered Toyota on the track for the first time

In a world full of common swaps that you see in just about every swap car, it’s refreshing to see something a little bit different every once in a while. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy LS swaps as much as the next guy but if every single car had the same motor in it, things would probably get pretty boring.

This time, we check out a car that goes about as far in the opposite direction of convention as possible. Stuffing a Ferrari engine in a Toyota is probably about the least practical thing that you could ever do but that’s probably a big part of the motivation behind doing it in the first place.

In this one, you get to see Ryan Tuerck’s Ferrari powered Toyota GT4586 slide sideways around the corners at Willow Springs International Raceway for its first ever track test to date and it is just as satisfying as you might have imagined it to be.

Honestly, the best part of this whole ordeal is hearing that high dollar power plant banging off of the rev limiter in drifting fashion as it slides sideways. Sure, Ferrari might have its racing heritage but I’m not sure that there has ever been a Ferrari engine abused like this one and this is only the start!
