Flagger At Street Race Gets Mustang’d… Gets Ran Over!

In the world street racing, you have all watched and seen the flagger do their thing, you know, that guy or gal who either drops their hands or flashes the flashlight to show that the race is going to start. Even though it seems like, while standing just mere feet in front of cars that could be sporting thousands of horsepower, that he or she would be in a little bit more danger but it’s really incredibly rare that anything happens to the person flagging race. You’d think that there would be more close calls but, after watching a lot of street racing, you can see that it isn’t too often that the flagger gets tied up in a bad situation.

This time, however, we check out a situation that’s a little bit different as this flagger ended up getting stuck in a tight spot, finding himself flagging a race between a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and a Ford Mustang that went wrong from the start! As soon as the race is flagged, both drivers lock it in and try to get off the line as fast they can but it looks like that Jeep just wasn’t wanting to go straight as it veered straight towards the person who was fighting the race and knocked him right off of his feet. At the end of the day, It would appear as if nobody was injured but that’s enough for me to quit flagging for a while, that’s for sure. I’m sure that the extra heavy Jeep probably didn’t feel too good as it threw that guy a stern shot to the ribs.

Follow along down in the video below that shows this flagging session going wrong and be sure to tell us what you think of this mishap as it got rather ugly out there in the streets. I’m sure that nobody meant ill here but I would venture to think that the flagger and the guy behind the wheel of the Jeep eventually had a little talk about what went down that night. I wonder if this guy will ever find himself out there flagging race ever again.

You got Mustanged!

Man down!
