Jeff Lutz makes blistering fast pass at Drag Week 2016, 6.10@243

If you’ve ever been to a drag strip or ever followed any sort of drag racing, you’ve probably heard the name Jeff Lutz. Lutz is one of the baddest racers in the country and a legend in Hot Rod’s Drag Week competition. Time and time again, he’s beaten the field and taken home the win at Drag Week. From his bad ’57 Chevy to his Camaro ProMod he calls Mad Max, he brings the baddest cars and propels them to be the fastest around.

Last year, Lutz made the quickest AND fastest pass in all of drag week history with a 6.05 @ 251mph. This year, he nearly hit that mark again on Day 3. With a couple days left of racing, we expect Jeff to take Mad Max past last year’s record to be the fastest yet again. With a couple of other top competitors out of the running, it looks like Lutz will yet again win Drag Week if all goes as planned. Can anybody take the title from Lutz?
