This just in, hot off the press! J.R Gray has called out Corey “Big Country” Swanstrom, and his son Justin, known as “Little Country”, in a race for $2500 with $500 lock in money, or 5 on 25 as they call it in the grudge world. The stipulations are pretty simple: Straight off the trailer, for Wednesday night, February 14th at Lights Out, where both cars are competing in the No Time Shootout.

J.R Has been tearing up the No Time shootout scene with his infamous Camaro known as “Headshot” with a monster Reher-Morrison nitrous power plant, and the help of his good friend and tuner, Steve “Stevie Fast” Jackson. This team has taken multiple shootout wins, and won countless grudge races with some of the baddest of the bad on the planet, and are known for lining up alongside just about anybody at any time with huge piles of money on the line!

Corey, and his son Justin have also been putting in a lot of work these last couple years. The jumped into the N/T world first with their Fox body Mustang “Apocalypse”, which they brought up to Valdosta last year from their home in Florida and took home the win in the Outlaw Drag Radial class, which has been replaced this year by the hot new Limited Drag Radial class. Apocalypse also won many N/T shootouts and big-money grudge races for the Swanstrom team last year, but they’ve most recently been touring the country with their new car. “Armageddon”, a 2000 Mustang with a 903 cubic inch nitrous fed monster from Pat Musi.

These two have run before, but that race was a bit anticlimactic due to Armageddon losing traction, however, on paper this race could be one for the ages. Anything can happen, especially coming right off the trailer, which adds to that excitement for us! Look for this, along with several other big-money grudge races at Lights Out 9, coming up just over a week from now!
