Man Not letting His Disability Get in The Way of Owning Dream Truck! 🎥

We’ve seen several approaches for making vehicles accessible and drivable for enthusiasts with disabilities, allowing them to enjoy the hobby as much as the next guy. One thing you can always count on is the automotive industry doing whatever it takes to allow one of its own to participate wholly within the community.

This fellow’s name is Curtis and all we know about him is his name and that he drives this badass Silverado. The truck has been fitted with a lift to get Curtis in and out of the truck and the doors have been modified to lift up gullwing style to ensure Curtis and his lift have plenty of room to operate. When the doors close, there’s literally zero indication that the truck is modified in any way, at least as far as accessibility goes.

As far as modifications that have nothing to do with the ingress and egress, the truck looks to be lifted several inches and is riding on a great looking set of custom wheels. The Silverado has a nice gnarly exhaust note, but sounds otherwise stock. The black fender flares are a nice touch to make the truck look a little more muscular with the big wheels and tires and lift in place. As you can see, the controls work perfectly as Curtis drops the truck in gears and drives away, letting the big pickup scream as he heads off into the distance.

This is just another great example of what hotrodders are all about, doing what they want to do regardless of what obstacles they may face. We’re sure Curtis did as much of the work on his truck as he could and what he couldn’t handle himself, someone within the industry was able to step in and help.
