NYPD Crushes Hundreds Of Illegal ATV’s and Dirt Bikes! Why???

When it comes to operations like this, often times, it doesn’t really make sense to us why the seized vehicles in question aren’t put to better use.

This time, the cringeworthy action is on live stream from the New York City Government that shows a couple of bulldozers crushing up thousands of dollars in off-road toys including dirtbikes and quads alike.

When asked about why the vehicles aren’t put to better use, the city responded that they checked with NYPD who said,

“These vehicles are illegal in the City of New York. We are committed to making the streets of our city completely safe. That means leaving no opportunity for these things to find their way back to our roads and further endanger our fellow New Yorkers. This is the same reason we destroy the guns we confiscate. The metal from these vehicles is recycled after they are crushed.”

While we think that we would do something different with the vehicles in question, there are certainly two reasonable sides to that debate.
