OKC Hittin’ The Streets of Memphis, Time to Lay Down the Law This MONDAY!

Clear your calendar for tomorrow night, because it’s time for Street Outlaws to take back Monday nights for the next couple of months. Long time fans of the show know the boys from OKC have developed an intense rivalry the crew from Memphis over the past couple of seasons, and tomorrow night, yet another throwdown with JJ Da Boss and his guys from the 901 kick off the tenth season.

We first met JJ when he brought a group of cars to take on the guys from Street Outlaws New Orleans, and then he crossed paths with the 405 during the Nationwide Callout a few seasons ago. His hustler mentality and undeniable charisma made him an instant hit with the fans and the cars he brings are always top-notch competition for the heavy hitters from OKC. Those two factors have earned the 901 several matchups with the 405, including season 9’s hugely-popular finale, which JJ took over and ran by his rules, including the arm drop format that makes every race much more interesting.

Tomorrow night, JJ drops the hustle and decides to let the Oklahoma boys name the rules instead, eliminating any excuses that may come up when the dust settles and the racing is over. While JJ does lobby for a couple of concessions in the rules negotiation with Big Chief, eventually they settle on a set of rules that sounds pretty much exactly like the rules we’ve come to know as typical street race rules throughout the run of the show: 660 feet, flash light start, no jumping the light, no crossing the centerline, first car to the finish line wins.

We know JJ doesn’t come to play for second place, and we already know what the 405 will be bringing to the battle, so this should be yet another awesome episode. We can’t wait to lock the doors, pull the curtains, and unplug the doorbell and catch all the action, tomorrow night on Discovery Channel!
