Rental Car Shenanigans in the Middle East Are Almost Unbelievable!

We’ve all seen videos like this, but this is an up-close look at some of these insane drifting antics, including in-car footage from the cars themselves as the slide across three and four lanes of the highway. As the drivers whip the wheel, the cars slide back and forth in long graceful arcs from lane to lane, weaving effortlessly in and out of traffic.

A couple of the drifts end with the cars spinning out down the middle of the road, with the driver quickly spinning the steering wheel to prolong the fun. Time after time, we see the driver top out the car at 150 MPH, then begin the drift which seems to go on forever before finally slowing to the point that the car won’t slide anymore. Then the clip cuts to the car rolling at top speed again and off they go, slip-sliding across the highway, sliding between and around the other cars like it’s nothing.

We can’t help but wonder why we don’t see these kinds of videos here in the states. We see plenty of drifting, but rarely is it on the interstate. We aren’t encouraging you guys to go out and try this, we’re just curious as to why these videos all seem to be set in the Middle East when we have such a strong drift community here. Is it because our laws are so much more stringent, or are these guys just bigger risk takers. Or is this happening here while nobody is videoing, or perhaps the videos just don’t make it online to help keep the drivers out of trouble. We couldn’t help but notice that the last clip cuts to black as the drifters slide toward a couple of cars, seemingly on a path of impact until the clip ends. Hopefully there was no collision, but it sure seemed to be headed that way.
