When we’re talking about being safe in the garage, you want to make sure that you have all of the basic bases covered. You don’t want to end up being injured or having a fatal accident because you’re too lazy to put a jack stand under your car or had simply forgotten all about it. It might seem like something that’s never going to happen, but a quick Google search will tell you otherwise as hydraulic jacks have definitely failed and left the people lying underneath of their cars and trucks to suffer the consequences. Therefore, making sure that you double the support on an automobile weighing in at thousands of pounds is essential to keeping your own safety at the forefront of your to-do list.

Now, jack stands as we know them have been the same for years. You jack the car up and extend the stand, then lowering the jack to allow the car to sit on the stand. However, an interesting dilemma that nobody seems to have tried to address as of yet is that issue that happens when you try to find a place for the stands, raising up the car with your jack and said jack, of course, is put right in designated jacking spot where it’s safest to put a load underneath of your car in order to lift it. When that space is occupied, where should you put the jack stand? With the traditional stands, that question will always come up but with this new and innovative stand that promises to be the future of jack stands, you won’t even have to think twice about it.

Check out the video below that takes you along for the ride with the “Rennstand,” a system with interchangeable pads that will allow you to jack up just about any car without having to worry about where to balance the car on your jack and on the stand. After checking out the design for yourself, tell us what you think of this sort of stand and if you would trust your personal safety with a mechanism like this.
