Street Outlaws Daddy Dave To Drive For Keith Haney Racing at MWPMS Season Opener
Street Outlaws fans who have watched since the beginning of the Discovery Channel smash hit will likely not be too shocked by this announcement, and to be honest anybody who has seen Daddy Dave behind the wheel of any car should understand the reason behind this announcement. In the first few seasons of the show, Dave wheeled The Sonoma, a truck that he was hired to drive, to the top of the list multiple times, with much of the success directly attributable to his driving ability.
Following his stint in The Sonoma, Dave decided to build his own car, but climbed behind the wheel of Michael Henson’s Plan B Corvette and made a pretty successful run at the list in that car before finally bringing out his car, the slick Chevy II known as Goliath, to finally take a shot at the list in his own ride, and most of us have seen that playing out on the show each week lately.
The point here being that Dave can DRIVE! His reputation as an excellent wheelman has earned him stints behind the wheel of several other cars here and there off the show as well, including this most recently announced job, driving the nitrous-injected pro mod-style Radial vs the World Camaro belonging to Keith Haney. Haney, who owns and operates Tulsa Raceway Park announced that Dave will be behind the wheel of his Camaro, known as Enigma, at the Midwest Pro Mod Association season opener at TRP. The 3.8-second, 190+ MPH hotrod will be the quickest car Dave has ever driven and will present some new challenges, but watching him make the transition from ride to ride seemingly effortlessly time and again, I can’t see this being anything but another successful venture for both he and Haney.
Haney won the RvsW series championship last year in the car, and will continue to compete in his virtually identical pro mod Camaro known as Notorious in the Pro Modified class. Look for these guys to be trying to meet each other in the winner’s circle and double up in both cars in just a few short weeks.
