Take a Quick Tour of Randy Meyer Racing’s New Shop

Upstart A/Fuel Dragster driver Megan Meyer came by her driving prowess naturally, following in the footsteps of her father Randy Meyer, who stepped out of the driver’s seat in 2002 to focus on building his racing operation. Since then, he’s had several drivers at the helm of his cars, but none have made waves like Megan, who is currently the driver of the NGK Spark Plugs/Randy Meyer Racing dragster.

Megan wrapped up the 2017 season with a strong 3rd place finish in the national points chase thanks to winning four divisional races while also winning the National Event in Chicago, a great season by any measure. Looking to focus on improving her campaign for the 2018 season and beyond, Megan and the Randy Meyer Racing operation inked a two year with NGK Spark Plugs to provide financial backing for a run at the class championship while continuing to build the RMR empire.

The team also recently celebrated moving into an expansive new headquarters in Spring Hill, Kansas with an open house, inviting friends, neighbors and fellow racers to check out the new facility, which will house the entire operation under one roof. The team fields two cars that compete in Top Alcohol Dragster – Megan’s car as well as the nitro-injected car campaigned by Justin Ashley – as well as a Super Comp dragster driven by Rachel Meyer. The RMR shop will also be the base of operations for Super Comp racer Jon Medlin, who rents space in the shop.

While Megan may be a new name to some of you, we’ve had our eye on this talented young driver for some time now. Watching her progress rapidly to become one of the top drivers in the ultra-competitive world of NHRA’s quickest sportsman eliminator has been pure joy, and we don’t see her stopping here by any means. Look for much, much more from this team and especially Megan in the not-so-distant future.
