The Mighty J58 – The SR-71’s Secret Powerhouse

When it comes to machines that are efficient at making their way through the sky, the SR-71 was pretty much the poster child of its time for being a military aircraft that was both fast and incredibly efficient just about everything that it did.

While there still isn’t unlimited information out there on the technology that made the aircraft so great, bits and pieces come together to help you paint a bigger picture of exactly why it was held with such a high regard and how the plane went from 0 to Mach 3.2 without thinking twice.
