Twin Turbo Camaro Named Blue Dragon vs Kryptonite Camaro

In a great generational battle, these two Camaros line up and throw down at Tulsa Raceway Park, and unlike most grudge races we see these days, they actually left the scoreboards on to give the fans a glimpse of just how quick these cars really are.

The blue 2nd Gen Camaro is known as the Blue Dragon and is owned and driven by Tony Foulks. If this car seems familiar, it makes the rounds to many of the big no prep events in the midwest, so you’ve likely seen it before, though it was probably wearing blue paint from nose to tail at the time. The twin turbo powerplant makes a ton of power and those big tires out back usually provide plenty of grip, making the Blue Dragon a formidable opponent anytime it rolls to the line.

In the other lane, a retina-searing neon green paintjob makes sure nobody will miss Mike Bradley’s Kryptonite, a first gen Camaro that’s also rocking a boosted powerplant and some steamrollers out back. Both of these cars fall under what most consider to be “Pro Street” combinations, meaning they retain some of the stock body work and suspension while using massive power to push them to killer numbers on the track, and as you can see, they don’t disappoint.

The cars bump into the beams and bring up the boost before staging. You can clearly see Blue Dragon getting a huge holeshot when the tree drops after Bradley bumped in too deep and had to slow his reaction time down to keep from turning on the dreaded red bulb. This gives Foulks a big lead off the line, but Kryptonite is on a mission and begins reeling him in. Just before the stripe, Bradley pulls ahead to take the win, using his twenty-two MPH advantage to just edge out Foulks and take the win, 4.35 to 4.54.

Despite the big difference in ET’s Tony mowing down the tree gave him a real shot at taking the win, but he just couldn’t quite hold off that top end charge.
