We Remember Our First Time Launching a Boat… “Completely Destroyed!”

Sure, the process of launching a boat might look easy and after you’ve done it a couple dozen times, it might actually begin to get easier but it’s important to remember that there are a lot of different moving parts with a situation like this that you need to keep in mind. As so many things are happening at the same time, a lapse in focus can really be costly as you never know what might happen. Usually, when we’re talking about this sudden loss of focus, the end product is your tow rig going into the water but this time, things unfold a little bit differently.

It’s kind of hard watch as the boat gets launched into the water and everything seems to be going fine. However, for a reason that we can’t really decipher, the boat in question starts drifting backwards before bumping into a dock and completely lurching forward under for throttle, soaring its way back toward the truck, plowing out of the water and definitely doing some big-time damage as it scraped its way down the side of the vehicle and managed to plow straight on to dry land.

If you follow along down in the video below, you’ll be a party to a situation that you definitely wouldn’t want to unfold in your lap. Unfortunately, for the boater here, it looks like he’s not going to end up having that relaxing day on the water that he probably envisioned when dumping the boat in. Hopefully, for this guy, the damage didn’t end up being too bad and he was able to get his boat back in shape to see the water once again without too much money being dumped into repairing everything. In a situation like this, you really have to feel for the guy involved because all he wanted to do was spend a little bit of time on the water.
