When Performing Stunts in Your Helicopter Goes Bad!

All we know is it looks like the pilot did all he could do to keep this from being so much worse that it could have been. We don’t know what exactly an autorotation landing is, but that’s the maneuver the pilot was attempting to execute when things took a turn for the worse. The pilot realized he was coming in too hot and did everything he could to level the chopper and lessen the impending impact.

The left side skid collapsed upon landing and the chopper skidded the length of a football field, but this certainly could have gone much, much worse if the pilot hadn’t realized things were headed south as quickly.
