With all the high powered brutal muscle cars that have been released by Dodge as of late such as the Hellcat platform and upcoming Demon platform, one car has managed to find a way to slide under the radar and we think that it deserves a little bit of attention.
This time, we’re talking about the 2017 Dodge Challenger GT, an all-wheel-drive version of the Challenger that will be rolling off of the assembly line featuring a 3.6 L V6 engine cranking out 305 hp at 6,350 rpm. While Mopar fanatics will definitely be clamoring for a v8 version, this is most definitely an interesting start to a promising AWD future.
In the past, we haven’t really seen too much in terms of American muscle cars using an all-wheel-drive configuration but now, the Challenger attempts to dive into that market and the results could end up getting pretty interesting, especially if they decide to start delivering the all-wheel-drive functionality with more powerful engines.
For now, check out the 2017 GT hitting the snow and tearing around down below. This video doesn’t really do much in terms of offering information, but we think that that’s easily offset by the fact that they completely tear into it, showing us how much this platform can really be beat on!
