If you took a poll across all automotive enthusiasts, I think that most of them would agree that if you’re looking for an area to benchmark your performance abilities, the Nürburgring would be the perfect place to do that. As the track offers a wide variety of twists and turns along with all sorts of different embankments, the architecture of this track really throws what many would agree to be the biggest variety of driving conditions in the path of whatever automobiles choose to take on one of the most notorious places for performance driving.
As you can imagine, if an automaker wants to make sure they’re getting the most bang out of their setup and make it as competitive as possible within its class, they might take to the curves of the ring in order to get the best results out of the vehicle.
Where better to test and tune a vehicle than a track that has all sorts of other lap times to compare to from just about every kind of automobile that you could possibly imagine? With all of that data in place, an automaker can really truly see how their car stacks up against the competition in the most real-world situation possible before they release it to the public.
In little latest of spy videos to come out from the surface of the notorious track, this time, we see a video that captures a little bit of footage of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A35 AMG as it made its way around the ring to throw down a little bit of testing while wrapped in camo as to not tip off cameras to the surprise to come. Whenever you see a car making laps around this surface, you know that it’s going to have a pretty serious performance orientation when it finally does make its way to the consumer.
