We have all seen children’s toys that we have thought were pretty cool. As gearheads, we can’t help but pay close attention to Power Wheels. It really is hard to ignore your kid’s first jaunt into the world of wheels. When a gearheaded dad has children that are into the motorized mini cars and trucks, sometimes,l dad just can’t help but get in there and play around with it to soup it up a little bit!.

Now, we have seen Power Wheels being converted from 12-volts to 24-volts in order to give them a little bit of extra kick but this time, we catch up with a dad who seems have undergone modification that’s just a little bit heavier duty than your average dad’s work in the garage.

Now, instead of simply bumping up the voltage, in this scenario, dad decided to throw a whole new collection of parts into the mix, giving this power wheels Frankenstein machine more of a boost thanks to the help of four 36-volt driven motors and two controllers pulled out of electric scooters.

In addition to the new power, this Power Wheels project, otherwise known as the “Gatorazor” has some pretty neat features that make it one-of-a-kind. Be sure to check it out down in the video below and tell us what you think of what dad has done to bring this toy up to speed.
