Try Not to Drool on the $7,000,000 Custom Built One-Off Lamborghini SC18 Alston
If there’s one thing that we definitely can’t get enough of, it’s super rare cars. In the scheme of things, it doesn’t get much rarer than a one-of-one. Now, not every one-of-one is all that interesting. People like to stretch this concept. A true one-off from a company like Lamborghini can ruffle some feathers, though.
Naturally, with these sorts of cars, the price tag also begins to go on the rise. This time, we’re taking a look at the $7 million custom-built one-off Lamborghini SC18 Alston. The car was spotted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed as it gave us a little bit of a teaser of what it’s all about.
“Lamborghini Squadra Corse unveils the SC18 Alston, the first one-off in the history of the Sant’ Agata Bolognese motorsport division. The unique example, designed in synergy with the customer and Centro Stile Lamborghini, is road approved but designed primarily for use on the track. The SC18 Alston paves the way to further personalized development projects for motorsport customers under the Squadra Corse brand.”
The machine seems to be one that Lamborghini is particularly excited about. They describe the machine as having “extreme aerodynamics.” We’re sure that’s not something that they just like to toss around. To make matters even better, we find a powertrain that the company describes as “top-of-the-line Lamborghini” residing within.
It really appears as if every last detail on this machine was painstakingly considered to put together the ultimate machine.
Lamborghini exclaims that “The exclusiveness of the SC18 Alston is underlined by the color of the carbon fiber body in the Grigio Daytona (grey), with visible details and red screen-printing to enhance its sportiness.”
