Can a Stock Dodge Demon Pull The Front Wheels Off The Ground?
When the Dodge Demon started to make its presence known, with all of the talk around the automotive media community, it really was drawing the attention of just about everybody. I mean, this car is really special. Even if you weren’t somebody who would be willing to shell out that much money on a car like this, you have to admit the machine truly broke the mold, doing what enthusiasts have asked about for years as Dodge decided to stick everything that you would find in a machine built for racing into a car that is not only street legal but also can be bought directly from your Dodge dealer without any modification to put it in what they claimed to be the mid 9-second range in the quarter mile.
Naturally, after following up a whole intense marketing scheme like that and all the attention that this thing grabbed in the press, we’re going to have our eyes glued to the car to see exactly what it’s able to do come race day. When people actually get behind the wheel of this thing, we want to be able to see if it’s going to live up to all the expectations that were laid out in front of us by Mopar. Now is that time and we have to say that we are definitely not disappointed by what we’ve seen so far.
If you check out the video below, you’ll be able to see this monster as it rockets off of the line, popping the wheels up in the air in a display that not too many other cars are able to do in factory trim. I would say that if we were to count the cars that are on this list, we could probably manage to do it without running out of fingers. Sure, this isn’t necessarily some statistic or something that somebody’s really going to go out there and measure but it definitely adds yet another layer to the cool factor to one of the cars that we would argue is potentially among the most attitudey to ever roll off of an assembly line.
