NASCAR - Dale Earndhart Jr. endures disastrous loss
When it comes right down to it, things that seem important like money or fame can be so minimal when you see a child who is fighting for their life every day, a child who is robbed of most of their childhood freedom because of diseases like cancer.
While the cures for diseases like this aren’t available as of yet, folks with star power most certainly can lend a helping hand to those who are forced to go through such tragedy. It might seem cliché, but that’s because it’s true when we say that just their presence can make a youngster forget about their situation, even if just for a day.
Austin was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer known as Ewing’s Sarcoma at the age of just ten years old and in March 2015 he had been declared cancer free only to relapse back into the intense treatments. Just when he was about to begin treatment again, Dale Jr. would come to show Austin his support, something that Austin’s mother would call immeasurable in relationship to how much it meant to Austin.

In addition to bringing light to the day of someone in need, happenings like this can really help to raise awareness and bring support to research so that kids like Austin will never need to suffer again. Maybe one day in the future, we will be able to recognize that as reality.
