Extreme Turbo Systems GT-R wrecks at 220mph!

When the Extreme Turbo Systems Nissan GT-R climaxed at 220mph, the driver probably never even considered what would happen next. Generally at the end of such a high speed run a parachute will provide stopping power to the car, but in this situation the chute failed to deploy.

Normally this wouldn’t be the world’s biggest issue, but in this case the rear wing was removed in order to achieve the top speed, causing a lack of downforce, rendering the brakes practically useless.

We would assume that the driver was driving more aggresively as well with the expectation of the chute flying. In either case, he was forced to make a split second decision to save himself from certain disaster.

Check out the wreck below in this insane sequence. We’re sure that the pucker factor was similar to that of pulling the cord on a skydiving parachute and it not coming out.
