Drag racing slicks are some of the most punished tires in all of racing. They can be required to shoot from a standstill to over 300mph in just a matter of seconds as one of the key elements to success.

From the steel bands to the bead to the tread, everything has to be done perfectly to ensure that the tire work properly and stand up to the elements.

This time, we get an inside look at how tires like these are put together from start to finish with the complicated process that results in a product that will last for 4-6 trips down the drag strip.
