This Camaro Looks Completely Stock but What's Under the Hood is Another Story

When it comes to American muscle machines, the Chevrolet Camaro is, without a doubt, an icon. There is no denying that even straight out-of-the-box, these things are fun machines but if you really get into the performance world, you’ll quickly find that a stock Camaro isn’t really going to hang with too many modified vehicles as you rediscover what the word “fast” really means.

That’s not necessarily even a knock on the car but if you want to play, you’re going to have to spend the time and money modifying your machine to bring it up to par. This time, the challenge was to not only do that but also keep the Camaro in question maintaining a stock appearance which might sound easy but proved to be a lot easier said than done.

Off to Nelson Racing Engines the machine would go to be fitted with a mirror image twin turbo 427 LSX. The result would be a 1000 hp to play with in a daily drivable application that nobody would suspect anything out of. That’s exactly what they want you to think. When the guys went into all of the detail that was observed in order to keep this thing appearing stock, you might just find yourself to be amazed!

Check out the video below that outlines the entire build along with taking you along for a ride in the car that shows off exactly what it’s capable of. All of the elbow grease that’s gone into this thing really is impressive when you look at the entire package that doesn’t show an ounce of aftermarket modification. When the driver puts this thing to use, I can guarantee you that this car is most certainly going to be shocking a couple of racers in the next lane over.
