Regardless of how one feels about the current state of affairs in America, there is something I think that we can all agree upon. The current pandemic has managed to find a way to kind of knock us off of our tracks for a little bit. It’s in these times of struggle that we, as Americans, tend to come together with the strongest.
In these times where many are in need, there are a lot of folks who are stepping up. Across the globe, we find that people are more willing to help one another. Sometimes, it takes a common enemy to remember that we are all more alike than we might think.
This time, that enemy is COVID-19.
One of the groups of society that have stepped to the plate the strongest is that of the medical field. While it’s something that is hard to identify with unless you’re in those shoes, we would imagine that it’s a daily struggle for those folks.
Not only do they have to work long and hard hours to provide healthcare. These men and women have also stepped into what is nothing short of a potential biohazard. It takes insane courage and selflessness to go out there and do your job when surrounded by a virus that is backed by lots of uncertainty and potentially fatal consequences.
Let’s just say that it has probably been a pretty dark time for some of these individuals. Any support that we can give them is certainly necessary.
In order to show our gratitude, there are a wide variety of Americans who are doing what they can to back those who take care of us. One interesting support method comes through a collaboration between the US Navy Blue Angels and US Air Force Thunderbirds.
In a video from AirShowStuffVideos, the duo performed what the channel called a “rare” joint flyover. The operation would take them over New York City, Trenton, Newark, and Philadelphia on April 28, 2020. The effort was one to show all essential personnel that they are very much needed and appreciated.
We’re told that the “Operation America Strong” flyovers are scheduled to continue around the country.
