Bringing kids into the world these days is a daunting proposition, but I can’t deny that fatherhood has been the most rewarding aspect of my life. However, as much as I love my kids, I cannot deny that, especially when they’re younger, kids are gross. If you need further proof, just watch this video and see how disgusting this minivan is when the owner sets about giving the interior a thorough cleansing.

Judging by the child safety seats, it’s clear this guy’s kids are still very young, which explains why there’s a whole bag of M&M’s candy under the car seats when he removes them. However, that’s nothing a quick once-over with a vacuum can’t fix. Of course, there’s a whole lot more going on here than a few stray chocolate candies. Over time, candy, dirt and other debris get trapped under the child seats, which are then ground into the minivan’s actual seats, creating a disgusting mess that’s almost mated to the seat itself.

However, with some time, a good cleaning solution, and some elbow grease, these seats can be cleaned back to much better condition, leaving them looking infinitely better than when he started. After cleaning the seats themselves, our cleaning man removes the seats and sets about giving the carpet beneath them the same careful attention and deep cleansing.

From there, we move to the front, where the seats are cleaned and the center console receives some special attention with a toothbrush, allowing access to the countless nooks, crannies and crevices, each of which serves as a trap for dirt and grime. Our guy cleans out the cup holders, door panels and gives the inside of the glass a good cleaning and we’re all done. Looking at the before and after, this guy did a masterful job and really brought the interior back to life with little more than some time, a good cleaner, and some good old fashioned hard work. That’s really all it takes!
