In terms of creative experiments with an automobile, leave it up to the Garage 54 YouTube channel. There aren’t very many people in this world who would’ve thought even come up with half of the experiments that they have. When the experiments finally get rolling, though, we simply can’t look away.

Most would probably never make the mistake of driving 7 miles at a time with the emergency brake on. However, we can’t help but be curious as to what would happen in such a situation. It has to be pretty chaotic, right?

Before we know it, we’re watching the experiment unfold in our laps. The process is really as simple as it seems. With a poor donor Honda Civic that’s about to take a beating, the E brake is locked in and the car begins to drive. Almost immediately, smoke begins to pour off of tires. However, instead of stopping and checking out what’s going on, the experiment must continue!

Armed with curiosity we head into this one to see just how far things would erode. Obviously, the tire is eventually going to wear down and probably begin to lose air. How long would it take before something like that came to life, though? Furthermore, would this distance be long enough to wear through the tire and have the car start riding on the wheel?

By following along with the video below, we get to see exactly how it happens.

Spoiler alert: it isn’t very long at all before the rubber is completely gone and the Honda is riding on the wheel. Not only does it throw sparks while riding on the wheel but the piece of metal files down to almost nothing! Before we know it, the experiment is over and we are left to observe the carnage that results.
