Even if you aren’t an industry expert, it doesn’t take a genius necessarily do realize that there are some things underwater that need to be repaired from time to time and can’t be taken out of the water. Whether it’s a fixture that is stuck in place and cannot be moved, such as a pipe, or even something like a ship that would prove to be costly to be taken out of the water, maybe a little bit of submerged welding has to be done. It seems like something that might be close to impossible but as this video will show you, it’s definitely nothing of the sort.

Underwater welding is a fairly common practice that can prove to come to the rescue in these sorts of situations without too much money invested. Sure you have to consider the salary of the person doing all of this because, from what we understand, these folks get quite a hefty paycheck, but, when you compare it to the time and expense that it would take to put a ship that’s hundreds of feet long on dry dock, you get where it can be valuable. These guys are surely putting themselves at risk they find their way underwater like this with all kinds of volatile equipment in this high-intensity job that makes its presence felt In a big way.
