Every Vintage Dodge Commercial Compiled Into One Video

Where are you, Dodge fans? We have a treat for you guys and gals today! Before you scroll down and hit that play button, I’m gonna go ahead and advise you to grab a cold beverage, maybe a bag of chips, and kick off your shoes, because you’re gonna be here for a while.

The video below is over forty minutes of classic Dodge car, truck and van commercials. That’s it. Well over half an hour of iconic TV spots for cars you all know and love from the heart of Motor City.

Some of them are cheesy, some of them are funny, and some of them are over the top, but they’re all great and provide a glimpse into the way things used to be for those of us who weren’t around in the 60’s and 70’s. Some of the more memorable spots are the popular “Sheriff Joe Higgins” spots, including the 1970 Challenger RT commercial that launched a successful marketing campaign featuring the likable Higgins as a drawling southern Sherrif. The Challenger RT spot opened with the line “You in a heap ‘o trouble, Boy!” and featured the character walking through a list of items and accessories on the car that, in his opinion, make it a racecar. The driver of the car tries to argue, but is soon confounded when he lists the number of “racing” parts and accessories on the car.

From there, Dodge would use the schtick to sell the Monaco, Charger and Dart models following a similar roadmap and relying on Higgins’ perfect comedic delivery.

There are plenty more, some of which you may have seen here and there, as these individual ads to often pop up and catch a little viral trend, but the whole forty minutes of Dodge marketing goodness has never been compiled quite like this, as far as we know. Hit that play button and enjoy!
