Krazy Kelly, Daughter Maleree, and Daddy Dave Racing for Kids Fighting Cancer

Krazy Kelly, Daughter Maleree, And Daddy Dave Racing For Kids Fighting Cancer

When it comes to drag racing, lots of hard work and effort goes into the show. When we pour our all into something, sometimes, it can come up in disappointment. For example, lots of no-prep races have big purses. Not being the one to go home with the money might act as a disappointment.

However, after the dust has settled, refocusing can really allow us to look at the bigger picture. Sure, we might not win the big prize every time. However, even being able to compete in the first place is really something special. Having gratitude in these moments can really go a long way. After all, everyone who is able to compete on a race track is incredibly fortunate in more ways than one.

With that in mind, cancer sucks. It can be something that can take the love of racing and crumble it right in front of our eyes. Every year, far too many children are diagnosed with cancer. Many of them will never be able to get the feeling of what it’s like to win a race or partake in other rewarding endeavors. We have hope that there might be a day where that’s not the case.

There might not be a cure yet, but with good people like Krazy Kelly, maybe one day, there will be. With upcoming no prep, those who want to watch or race will have an opportunity to help out with cancer research. It’ll all be going down on February 7th and 8th at Tuscon Dragway. Daddy Dave will even be making an appearance. First, let us tell you a little bit about how this all started.

At just six years old, Kelly’s daughter, Maleree Mae, was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2016. The young warrior was able to fight through cancer and remains cancer-free to this day.

Through the process, Kelly noticed an outpouring of support from the racing community as they jumped to Maleree’s aid. We’re sure that the gesture was a selfless act of compassion for a fellow human being from the community. However, Kelly wanted to help to pay back their generosity. This is when the “My Maleree May Foundation” was born. Today, their journey is dedicated to supporting children in their fight against cancer and providing funds for research for new treatments and cures.

For those who want to help support the cause while having fun doing it, Tuscon Dragway will be the scene of the action. On February 7th and 8th, we will get quite the show as the one and only Chris “Limpy” Collins will put on a cash days style throwdown. Racers will line up with one another for a cool $20,000. Meanwhile, a great cause will be growing by the minute!
