When we look around the landscape of SUVs, there are a couple that sticks out in the luxury class. If for nothing else, vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz G63 make a statement because of their price. In this case, the G63 has a lot going for it to try to justify the asking price.

Even in the scheme of today’s luxury SUVs where prices seem to be at an all-time high, the G-Wagen makes a statement. The SUV has a sticker price of around $150,000. However, due to incredible demand, some may even reach out and brush the $250,000 mark. At the end of the day, though, is this all worth it or is the consumer simply paying for a name?

This time, we follow along with Doug DeMuro as he spills the beans on just that topic. At first glance, it might look like this model’s merit is simply reserved in the nameplate. However, as we go through it, we come across more and more features that might make the juice worth the squeeze here.

As usual, DeMuro is going over this thing with a fine-tooth comb. As he reviews the Mercedes-Benz, he tells us about things like performance, comfort, and of course usability. In the world of SUVs, no matter how luxurious they might be, having a high usability score is definitely something that’s incredibly important.

By following along with the video below, we get a classic Doug DeMuro review. This one digs into the Mercedes-Benz G63 like never before.

The ask here certainly is steep but Doug seems to have a little bit of a crush on the G63. When all is said and done, we get a final score and ranking. How will the SUV hold up against machines like the Lamborghini Urus and Jeep Trackhawk? It’s time to find out.
