With the release of the 2021 Bronco, we couldn’t help but reminisce. As the viral sensation pays major homage to the SUV of old, our minds immediately went back to the 70s, 80s, and 90s when the Blazer and Bronco went back and forth. Both of these trucks really hit their marks as they stood to become pieces of automotive pop culture.

These days, the recreations seem to be in different classes of vehicles. While the Bronco retains its fun factor, the Blazer seems to have become a function over form crossover of sorts. However, the platforms of old that were more similar to one another are quickly becoming highly sought after.

This time, we check out a 1974 K5 Blazer planted right in the early years of the iconic K5 platform. Dennis Collins leads the tour as he managed to dig one up with a lot of paperwork and in great shape with low miles.

In fact, this might be one of the cleanest examples of a 70s Blazer available. The truck was stored in a dry and dark facility – it’s in great shape! Collins even informs us that the truck not only looks new but it smells the part as well. How often is someone going to stumble upon a 46-year-old vehicle that still smells like it did off of the assembly line?

We can’t promise that if you head into this one, you’ll be able to leave without wanting to buy one for yourself. The way that Collins goes over all of the options really brings the perfect specimen to life. Throw in the fact that it has a removable top to serve as the perfect summer vehicle and the appeal is oh so real.

It’s actually kind of hard to believe that something like this was just hidden away for all of those years!
