As most of us know, solar power has been around for quite some time. At the end of the day, though, it hasn’t proven efficient enough in order to use it in every aspect of life. Just how far are we, though, from being able to realistically harness the power of the sun and use it to travel, fueling everyday living arrangements along the way?

This time, we dive into just that question. With these two guys, they’re looking to go off of the grid. The goal is to take a solar-powered electric van through several countries in order to promote renewable energy. Even for those who love their combustion-powered machines, it’s hard to deny that it would be cool to live in a home that could move around along with traveling without fuel expenses. It’s as close as it gets to living expense-free, off the grid.

With this video, we have the opportunity to get up close and personal with such an effort. In this showcase, we get a little bit more of a description of how realistic something like this is. With all of the recent breakthroughs in technology, it is beginning to feel like we’re on the edge of something big.

Could it be possible to be utilizing technology like this on a bigger scale in the near future? Only time will tell. These guys seem to be pretty positive about investing in the platform, though!
