Laying Down the Perfect Paint Job is a Lot Harder Than it Looks (First Ever Destroyer Gray 69 Camaro?)

For those who have been following along with the Build for Brain Cancer series, it has been making some real progress. At this point in the series, everything is beginning to finally look like a real car. When it comes to projects like these, it can be hard to avoid getting excited when the pieces begin to come together and materialize.

The most recent endeavors that we’ve been undergoing with the 69 Chevrolet Camaro are in regards to looks. Last time, Zero to 60 Designs got the party started. In a collaborative effort to make something special for Kristian, the car would get the “show car” treatment. This wasn’t going to be just any paint job. Instead, Zero to 60 would lay out the red carpet. This Camaro that might also be the first-ever Battleship Gray car, was going to be absolutely stunning.

Last time, we followed along as the preparation was done and the bodywork had been put in place. This time, we get to do the fun and exciting part! It’s time for the payoff to come to life. All after all of that hard work and preparation is done, laying down the paint and getting it just right makes it all more than worth it. We couldn’t help but be blown away by the attention to detail and patience that these guys invested in making sure that the car was absolutely amazing.

By following along with the video below, we see the final steps of laying down the $50,000 dollar paint job. With a little bit of wet sanding and buffing after paint, the car is now ready to head on to get some final touches. It’s hard to put into words how amazing of a job Zero to 60 Designs did. You have to see it to believe it!

Stay tuned to watch the American muscle machine make its way home to a more than deserving owner.
