President Trump’s Ferrari Hits the Auction Block, His Ownership Definitely Boosted its Value

When it comes to collecting cars, as it turns out, it could be a very personal thing. While all collectors are in the same hobby, obviously, exactly what they collect can be vastly different with each individual. However, if there’s one piece of machinery that we’d think most car collectors would agree would be awesome to have in their collection, it would probably be some sort of car that was owned by the President of the United States. Now, as it’s truly a desirable piece, I’m also sure that the desirability factor is driven up even more by the fact that these probably don’t come up on the market all that often so when you do spot one, it might be worth it to shell out a little bit of extra money if it’s something that you really want.

In this particular auction, we check out a pretty neat piece that comes from the personal collection of president Donald Trump himself. The car in question is none other than a 2007 Ferrari F430 F1 that he bought new back in the year of 2007 and owned until 2011, over the span of which, he managed to put 2400 miles on the car, tallying up 600 per year, just to do the math for you. Little did he know that by driving the car at all and own it that he would add a pretty good amount of value to the value attached to this machine.

If you take a look at other Ferraris that match the description pretty similarly, they’re currently going for somewhere in the low $100,000 range, maybe fetching $130,000 on a good day. However, when President Trump’s personal Ferrari would head to auction, it would originally sell for $240,000, only to be sold shortly thereafter, bringing $270,000 to another buyer hours after the auction.

That’s not a bad investment for a few hours of work! All of that money will buy you not only the car but a copy of the original title with Donald’s John Hancock on the bottom line. It seems as if the car has definitely appreciated a pretty good amount due to Trump’s ownership and will be interesting to see where that value heads if this thing ever sees the auction block again.
