Street Outlaws Showdown… Fireball Camaro vs STK Racing Kayla Morton!

We were introduced to Kayla Morton’s gorgeous new ProCharged Mustang a couple of weeks back, and now we get to see the car in action against an opponent that gives us a solid look at where she stands.

Last weekend, many of the biggest names in the no prep world headed out west to Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Noble, Oklahoma for Conquer the Concrete, and that’s where National No Prep Racing Association’s cameras caught up with Kayla as she put some more laps on her new hotrod. On this particular pass, Kayla has drawn none other than one of the OKC Top 10’s heaviest hitters in Ryan Martin and the Fireball Camaro.

Martin, as we all know, has become a fixture at or near the top of the most well-known Top 10 list this side of David Letterman, and his twin turbocharged ProLine-powered Camaro is certainly no joke on an unprepped track surface. You can tell by Martin’s huge, smoky burnout that he’s pulling out all the stops for this pass, knowing Kayla is never one to be taken lightly, whether she’s lining out a new car or not. Her ProCharged big block Ford provides ample power and she’s proven herself time and again as a gunslinger behind the wheel.

You can see as the cars launch that they’re locked side by side for most of the 660’ track, with Martin only pulling ahead near the finish line after Kayla’s Mustang slowed. Morton’s car made a slight move near midtrack, but it wasn’t exactly out of shape, so she may have saw or felt something was amiss in the powertrain and shut it down to keep from damaging the engine. When the camera switches to the downtrack perspective, you can see that Kayla was actually out in front when the cars passed by, showing that the car is working good off the line and has plenty of power to motivate the car down the track. It’s hard to say if she’d been able to stay in the throttle if she’d have held off the big top end charge from Fireball, but she sure gave him a heck of a race until she had to lift.
