Stuntman Eddie Braun does the legendary ‘Evel Knievel’ canyon jump, costs $1.6 million

You’d be inclined to think that for a stuntman, much of their work would be mirrored after that of Evel Knievel and this time, we check out modern-day stunt addict, Eddie Braun, as he carries out a job that closely mirrors one of Knievel’s greatest attempts.

After spending $1.6 million of his own money, some of which was spent on the descendants of those who designed Knievel’s equipment, this mad man would launch over a canyon in style.

Being catapulted into the air off of a 10-story ramp that would launch him 2000 feet above the ground at 400 mph, the breathtaking display would be complete.

Check out the video below as the rocket catapults this stuntman into the history books with this spectacular rocket-propelled jump.

This takes some hardcore dedication and lots of courage to fully commit to carrying something out that bears that much risk, but Eddie Braun did it with flying colors.
