The 2017 Ford F-150 is Now a Police Cruiser!

When police are out and on the job, one of their tools that remains constant and always needs to be on the top of its game is the squad car. It might not seem like a big deal but when you spend countless hours in the car each and every day, you need to make sure that it’s not only reliable but functional as well with a layer of comfort because let’s face it, nobody can go out there and do an adequate job, especially with this much physical activity, if they have a bad back because of the rickety old seat that they’ve been sitting in.

If you’re one that thinks that the current line of police vehicles could use a little update then fear no more because Ford is attempting to refresh some of the aspects of a patrol vehicle that might have been lacking by throwing a pickup truck into the mix.

Coming what CNET says could be as early as next spring, we could see the rise of the Ford F-150 Police Responder, a vehicle that has been beefed up with better brakes, seats, and even a massive skid plate should things get messy while behind the wheel of this EcoBoost powered truck.

I’m sure that, as officers do spend so much time with their machines, any improvement, no matter how small it might seem to people outside of the job, is welcome! We would say that a vehicle like this could definitely lend a helping hand in the line of duty.

Check out the video down below that showcases what you could see coming to a city close to home in the near future. What do you think of what Ford is proposing for the latest form of police transportation?

If you could add anything to the Police Responder, what kind of features would you put in place to make sure that the bad guys are frozen in their tracks each and every time?

It's definitely not something you'd want to be chased by. http://roadshow.co/BEe0yi
