If you’re purchasing a brand-new car, obviously, there is very little guess work in how to get one that hasn’t been worn out. Now, sure, you have to pick between brands and make sure that you’re getting a mechanical combination that isn’t going to be a dud, however, you don’t have to worry about things like rust, most of the time, or people abusing the vehicle, maintaining it poorly, or failing to maintain it at all. Let’s just say that when it comes to picking out a newer car, it gets easier and easier as the year gets more recent.

However, obviously, with older machines that have lots of steel on them, you never know what condition one of these cars is going to be in when you go to look at it. As we see here, it sounds like our heroes are surprised with the car in question, by the fact that it even has a motor in it at all. Long story short, if you’re looking to purchase a car that’s a classic, you’re going to need a lot more of a keen eye for detail and knowledge of what exactly it is that you need to look for to make sure that you are, in fact, getting a solid piece and not something that’s going to collapse to the ground the second that you bring it home.
