New Gen Charger Truck Conversion

I’m not really sure what to call this project, and typically I find these kinds of builds moderately cool at best, but there’s something about this one that I really like.

What started life as a HEMI Charger has now been converted to a pickup truck. No, this probably isn’t going to be the ride you choose to haul a load of lumber from Lowe’s, but it’s dang sure going to get plenty of attention everywhere you go.

According to the video’s narrator, you can buy the kit to convert a Charger to this car/truck hybrid from Smyth Performance for the surprisingly reasonable price of just $3,500. While there will certainly be some fabrication involved in the build, the price of the kit itself seems reasonable and the outcome looks undeniably factory-esque.

Add the lowering springs and Hellcat replica wheels and you’ve got the makings for a pretty cool ride, and one that you certainly do not have to worry about seeing another one of these in the neighborhood. I can only imagine the amount of rubbernecking that goes on every time you hit the streets in one of these things.

So now I’d like to know what our fans think about this. Do you guys think conversions like this are cool, or do you find them annoying? We know there’s something out there for everybody and not everybody is going to be into the same thing I am, but I feel like I have a pretty good grasp of what the community likes and dislikes, and I feel like most of my people would agree with me on this. However, I’ve certainly been wrong, so I want you guys to hit the comments and tell us what you think about this.

I would also like to know what car you guys would convert to a truck like this if you had the money and skills? Seeing the Charger done this way makes me want to see a similar treatment on a Challenger and maybe a new Camaro or Mustang.
