Back in the day, if you wanted to learn how something worked, you actually had to either go to school for it, dig up a bunch of books somewhere, or consult with someone who had more experience who could dissect the issue for you and get you pointed in the right direction to tackle the issue or question. Luckily, with the great tool that is the Internet, you can learn how to do just about anything from the comfort of your own home or the convenience of a variety of different devices, whichever one you prefer. This time, it just so happens that we’re learning a little bit about the fundamentals of how a torque converter works.

In the short flick, we get the lowdown on the basic fundamentals of torque converter construction as we dive inside of what exactly is happening inside of your automatic transmission so that you can get a better grasp on diagnosing your situation and maybe even learn how to drive a little bit better to elongate the life of your transmission.
