This Cadillac CTS-V Has Been Turned Into Something We Are Unsure About…

Alright, guys and girls, I’m here to play Devil’s Advocate once again. I would imagine, without even having to watch the video below, you can guess where this is going, but I want you guys to hear me out…

Yes, it’s over the top. Yes, it’s gaudy. No, it certainly isn’t what Cadillac intended to be done with it’s vaunted CTS-V.

But…

You can’t deny it’s an attention getter.

I think we all know in the world of Donks – cars with huge wheels, loud paint jobs and booming stereos built for cruising the city streets – the goal is “Look At Me”, and there’s zero percent chance anybody within sight of this Caddy isn’t looking at it.

It’s hard to say what stands out more, the admittedly great looking flip-flop paint job, or the 32” gold spinners. The paint alone is actually a solid idea in my book, as I’ve always thought flip-flop paint looked really cool when it was sprayed well, and this appears to be a next-level quality paint job. Even on a car like the V, most of which are black, the paint looks awesome.

The wheels, well that’s where my opinion is going to differ drastically with this car’s owner. However, one thing I will say is that I absolutely respect this guys dedication to creating a ride that reflects his vision for the ultimate Donk. There’s a theme that flows throughout the car, with all of the trim, badges and accessories being gold plated to match the wheels and, when the angle is just right, the gold hue in the paint. I’ve certainly seen people take a more conventional approach to a car but not pull together a solid theme like this guy did, so I absolutely have to respect his attention to detail.

Would the be what I did with a CTS-V? Certainly not. Does it deserve all the hate it’s sure to get? In my opinion, no. I know some of you out there can’t see anything past your own comfort zone, though, so let the hate flow if you must. I doubt this guy can hear you over his stereo anyway.
