Tightest Parallel Park Record Broken Twice – Guinness World Records

Many motorists can’t parallel park in an empty parking lot, so to see this pair of brothers break the record for the tightest parallel parking job twice is nothing short of mind blowing.

While general parallel parking involves pulling alongside the car in front of the parking spot you want, then carefully backing into the spot without hitting the curb or either of the cars around the spot, the these siblings take a totally different approach, and it looks a lot more fun than the tradition method. With no room for pulling up and back to fit into the 13.1 centimeters required to break the record, Alistair and John Moffatt simple execute a perfect e-brake slide into the spot. After Alistair missed the mark a few times, younger bother John was able to slide into the spot perfectly on his third attempt, thus setting the record.

Not to be outdone, older brother jumped back into the car and gave it another try and he too was able to make the slide perfectly as well, meaning he tied the record and joined his brother in the Guinness Book of Records. We’re sure somebody will take a shot at this record soon, but with just a few inches to work with, this may well stand for quite some time!
